Columbus City Schools Payroll Security Breach Update:

Roughly 800 Columbus schools employees are being offered free credit monitoring services, just in case their information was compromised, the district said today.

A computer printout with at least 50 employees’ personal information, including Social Security numbers, was found during a police raid on an East Side home Saturday.

Columbus police said today that they expect federal identity-theft charges to be filed against two of the residents at 2861 E. 6th Ave. Officers had gone there Saturday to serve the men with felony warrants, one for drugs and one for theft. Both were jailed.

While searching the house, police also found a computer stolen from a local hotel, other computers, cell phones, data storage devices and a license plate. Police say the school employees will be contacted by the U.S. Justice Department.
